Give Local Lancaster coming Monday!
On our 10th Anniversary, we have added a new project to focus on the social and emotional needs of our youth through Seth’s Buddy Benches.
- Our goal is 38 benches, one for every Lancaster County Elementary School playground.
- The Buddy Bench is a place where children can go if they feel lonely, new to school or want to make new friends. Other children are encouraged to reach out to anyone on the bench to ask them to play and be a friend. Often times children are afraid to speak up when they need a friend. These benches will allow them to express their desire to connect to others by simply sitting on the bench.
- The schools will incorporate these benches with their social and emotional learning skills as a tangible way to utilize those skills.
With your help, we can place a Buddy Bench on every school playground this Spring!
